PRE-KINDER BALLET:
A 45-minute class introducing basic ballet positions of feet and arms. Creative movement. Singing. Required Attire: Pink leotard with tutu (Attached Or Pull-On), pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Hair secured in bun or ponytail. Ages: 3-4
KINDER-BALLET:
A 45-minute class introducing the 5 positions of feet and arms, emphasizing proper body alignment. Turn and jump combinations, beginning ballet barre exercises. Singing. Required Attired: Pink leotard with tutu or skirt, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Hair secured in bun or ponytail. Ages: 5-6
BALLET I:
A 1-hour class split evenly between barre and centre. Fundamentals of classical ballet emphasizing proper placement of body and strengthening of feet. Adagio, allegro, turns, jumps. Beginner level. Required Attire: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Hair secured in bun. Ages: 7-8
BALLET II:
A 1-hour class split evenly between barre and centre. Exercises more difficult and repetitious, designed to strengthen and build muscles in feet, legs and upper body. Adagio, allegro, turns, jumps. Intermediate level (already studied Ballet I 1-2yrs). Required Attire: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Hair secured in bun. Ages: 9-11
BALLET III, IV, V:
60-120 minute class including barre, centre, variations, turns, jumps, allegro, adagio, pas de deux. Emphasis on speed and strengthening feet, legs, back, proper technique. Intermediate and advanced level (at least 3 years of Ballet). Required Attire: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Hair in classical bun. Ages: 12-up
POINTE I and II:
A 45-60 minute class using barre and centre exercises to strengthen feet and legs while “en Pointe.” Variations, turns, allegro, pas de deux. Beginner and Intermediate level (at least 3 years of Classical Ballet, 0-2 years of Pointe). Required Attire: Black leotard, pink tights, pink Pointe shoes with pink ribbons. Hair in classical bun. Class Requirement: Two Ballet IV or V classes per week. Ages: 11-up
